Puri: The Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) has emphasised the need to set higher growth trajectory for 2023-24 to further boost the state’s economy.
This was stressed by Managing Director of OMC Balwant Singh while interacting with functional directors and senior executives of the state PSU.
Addressing the OMC’s two-day ‘Annual Business Meet 2023’ held recently at Eco Retreat in Konark of Odisha’s Puri district, Singh also asked the senior officials to identify bottlenecks which have been coming in the way of achieving targets and key deliverables.
He further discussed with the senior executives about future-focused strategy to formulate the business plan for the fiscal 2023-24.
Emphasising on the ‘approach’ & ‘purpose’ of OMC, he underscored the need for achieving welfare of the people and strengthening Odisha’s economic growth.
The MD also pointed out how the OMC has been playing a vital role in ensuring availability of minerals for the state-based industries.
Functional directors and executive directors dwelt upon various business plans for the fiscal 23-24.
OMC’s Annual Business Meet focused on performance highlights of the fiscal 2022-23, success narratives and improvement areas for business excellence. Senior officials put forth their suggestions and new ideas before the top management.
