Bhubaneswar: Managing Director of OMFED Vijay Amruta Kulange was given additional charge of the Director of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services by the Odisha government.
An order was issued by the Fisheries and ARD Department in this regard on Saturday.
As per the order, IAS officer Kulange, who is now the Managing Director of OMFED, is hereby kept in additional charge of the Director, AH & VS (O), Cuttack in addition to his own duties with immediate effect until further orders or till appointment of new Director by the GA & PG department.
A 2013-batch IAS officer, Kulange had been appointed as Managing Director of Orissa State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Ltd (OMFED), Bhubaneswar, in March 2024.
The post of Managing Director, OMFED, Bhubaneswar was then declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Joint Secretary provided in the IAS cadre of the state.
