New Delhi: The Union government is not taking the rapid spread of Omicron cases in India lightly, especially with Christmas and New Year eve round the corner.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to hold a review meeting of the COVID-19 situation in the country, ANI reported.
Modi, who has asked officials to be “pro-active” to rein in Omicron-positive cases, has held such review meetings in the past as well. But this one assumes added significance as Omicron cases have crossed 220 and a third COVID wave looms in India.
