Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi made a major announcement on the occasion of Labour Day.
In a significant move to enhance the economic condition of the working class, the state government has decided to increase the daily wages for workers across various skill levels by Rs 10, effective retrospectively from April 1.
Unskilled workers will now receive Rs 462 as their daily wage. Semi-skilled workers will get Rs 512 per day, skilled workers will receive Rs 562. As for highly skilled workers, their daily wage will be Rs 622.
The wage hike will benefit thousands of workers across the state.
