Cuttack: Commissionerate Police on Friday arrested a laptop thief from the city. He was identified as Himanshu Sekhar Padhi.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Badambadi police raided Himanshu’s hideout and nabbed him. As many as 30 laptops were recovered from his possession.
Himanshu was mostly active in Badambadi and the city. He used to target passengers in buses, bus depots and railway stations. A number of theft cases were pending against him at Badambadi police station, a police officer said. The accused is being questioned to gather details about involvement of other persons in such thefts, the officer added.
