One Arrested For Illegal Liquor Trade In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Excise officials arrested a person for running illegal liquor trade and seized a huge quantity of foreign liquor and country liquor in the city on Wednesday.

On a tip-off from reliable sources, a team of Excise officials conducted a raid on a place in Trilochan Vihar under Airfield police station. During the search, they found more than 151 litre of foreign liquor of reputed brands and country liquor Aska 40.

The Excise officials seized the liquor and Rs 1.9 lakh in cash found in possession of Dillip Nayak alias Kabu who was running the illegal business. Nayak was arrested on charges of running the illegal liquor trade.

A case under Section 52 (a) of the Odisha Excise Act was registered at the Airfield police station and further investigation is on.
