Puri: The Government Railway Police (GRP) on Sunday arrested a person in connection with the recent Puri-Hatia Tapaswini Express fire incident at Puri railway station.
The identity of the arrested was not disclosed immediately.
Four compartments of Tapaswini Express were gutted after a massive fire broke out in the train while it was being cleaned at the station on March 23. Three fire tenders were pressed into action to douse the flames. A case was registered with the Puri GRP on the basis of the Puri railway station superintendent’s statement, following which two persons were detained for questioning earlier.
