Bhubaneswar: The STF of Odisha police has seized brown sugar weighing 1 kg 107 grams worth more than Rs 1 crore during a raid near Unit-8 area in Bhubaneswar.
The narcotic drugs were seized from the possession of a drug peddler, identified as Chittaranjan Sahoo, a resident of Dhenkanal district, during the raid on Saturday on the basis of intelligence inputs. The accused person was produced in the court of district & sessions judge.
Further investigation is on.
Special drive against narcotic drugs is continuing in the state and the STF seized more than 69 kg of brown sugar/heroin, 202 gram Cocaine and more than 113 quintals of ganja/marijuna, opium 750 gram and arrested more than 168 drug dealers/peddlers since 2020.
