Bhubaneswar: Corona positive cases in Odisha touched 1103 on Thursday with 51 more persons testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, which also saw one death.
These fresh cases have been reported from Ganjam (4), Jajpur (5), Cuttack (9), Jagatsinghpur (2), Angul (2), Nayagarh (11), Kalahandi (11), Puri (1), Sambalpur (2), Malkangiri (1) and Mayurbhanj (3).
Details of the patients are awaited.
Of 51 new patients, 48 were lodged in quarantine centres.
The death toll rose to seven with an 85-year-old man of Ganjam district with co-morbidities succumbing to the virus.
This is the third death from Ganjam district. Three more patients had succumbed to the virus in Khurda, while one belonged to Cuttack.
With seven deaths and 343 recoveries, the state now has 753 active cases.
