Jharsuguda: Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed at Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda on Saturday. He is on a one-day Odisha visit.
He will board a special Indian Air Force aircraft to Sambalpur, where Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Governor Raghubar Das and Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Ashwini Vaishnaw will join him. Besides the Rs 400-crore IIM-Sambalpur permanent campus, Modi will also unveil infrastructure projects worth Rs 68,000 crore. These projects span sectors such as power, roads and railways.
The event is expected to draw as many as 4000 audience from various parts of the nation.
The Prime Minister will also address a public meeting at Remed field at Sambalpur, marking the first political visit by a top BJP leader in the state ahead of the simultaneous Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
It is likely to be attended by around 150,000 people.
Following the rally, the PM will leave for Guwahati from Jharsuguda airport at 4.40 pm.
