Berhampur: One person died while six others were critically injured after a gas tanker hit a mini truck, they were travelling in, on NH-16 near Humma in Ganjam district on Thursday. The injured, some of whom are children, were rushed to a nearby hospital.
According to reports, the mini truck was carrying household items from a bride’s house in Mardharajpur of Khallikote to Chhatrapur. On the way a gas tanker hit the mini truck near Humma Market following which the vehicle overturned.
While the driver died on the spot, six others were severely wounded in the accident. Police have initiated an inquiry.
