Berhampur: One more person died of dengue at Berhampur in Ganjam district on Friday.
The deceased identified as CH Parbati, a native of Jhatipadar village under Tikiti block in the district, succumbed to the disease while undergoing treatment at MKCG Medical College and Hospital here.
Parbati was admitted to the hospital four days ago after she complained of nausea and high fever.
On August 13, a person identified as Harihar Mallick, a resident of Basudevpur in Bhadrak district, had died of the vector-borne disease while undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
The first dengue death of the season in the state was reported on August 9 when a patient undergoing treatment in the ICU of the SCB succumbed. He was identified as Som Prakash Mishra (35) of Chhapra district in Bihar.
