Baripada: One person reportedly died and 20 others were injured including 10 critically after a truck collided with a bus at Bangiriposi ghat in Mayurbhanj district on Friday.
According to sources, while the bus was going from Baripada to Keonjhar, the truck collided with it at Dwarasuni on the ghat road. On being informed, Fire personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the injured passengers.
The injured passengers were admitted in the hospital at Bangiriposi and later, 10 of them who had sustained critical injuries were shifted to PRM Medical at Baripada. One of the injured persons succumbed on the way to hospital. The truck driver was also critically injured in the accident.
