Malkangiri: A jawan of the 4th SSBN was electrocuted to death while another sustained critical injuries after they accidentally came in contact with live electric wire on the premises of IRB Camp at Nayakguda under Mathili police limits in Malkangiri district on Sunday.
The deceased jawan was identified as Rahul Kumar Behera.
According to available information, the mishap took place while Rahul along with Ganga Sabar was fixing a displaced high-mast light on the premises this morning. The ladder they had climbed on came in contact with the live electric wire near the light. While Rahul died on the spot, Ganga suffered critical injuries.
The injured jawan had been admitted to district headquarters hospital.
