Cuttack/Anandpur: A Kanwariya died while another sustained critical injuries in two separate incidents in Cuttack district on Monday morning.
The first incident was reported from Athagarh, where a Kanwariya suddenly collapsed on the road at Paikerapur on his way back after offering water to Lord Shiva at the Dhabaleswar shrine.
Though the exact reason behind his death is not yet known, locals suspect that he was unwell.
Similarly, another person broke his leg after falling onto the ground while offering water at a shrine along with other devotees.
He was identified as Dillip Kumar Sahoo of Anandpur in Keonjhar district.
Sahoo was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
