Odisha: One Killed, 2 Injured As Speeding Car En Route Puri Crashes Into Truck

Cuttack: One person died and two were injured when the car in which they were travelling rammed a stationary truck on NH 16 near Manguli Chaak in Odisha’s Cuttack district.

According to reports, the accident took place while they were en route Puri on Tuesday night. The youths were speeding and were under the influence of alcohol when they lost control over the wheels and dashed into a truck parked alongside the road in front of a filling station.

One person died on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Manoj Behera of Champeidwar village in Badamba tehsil. The injured have been admitted to Community Health Centre at Tangi and will be questioned by police. The mangled remains of the vehicle have also been seized, the reports added.
