Pipili/Nabarangpur: Separate road accidents claimed one life while 20 were injured in Puri and Nabarangpur districts on Saturday.
A man was killed when the car in which they were travelling skidded off the road and fell into a drain near Pipili of Puri district.
The deceased, hailing from Madhuban area of the district, was returning from Bhubaneswar when the mishap occurred apparently due to high-speed driving.
The second incident was reported from Nabarangpur district where 20 people sustained injuries when the bus carrying them overturned near Indravati bridge.
Those injured were rushed to the district headquarters hospital for treatment. The condition of seven among the injured is stated to be critical.
The ill-fated vehicle was on its way to Jeypore in Koraput district when the driver lost control over the vehicle, following which it turned turtle.
