Bhubaneswar: Driver of an SUV, carrying a patient, died following a collision with a truck on NH-26 near Mathura Chhak in Odisha’s Kalahandi district on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Dilip Naik of Birikot village in the district.
According to sources, the accident took place when the SUV was en route to district headquarters hospital in Bhawanipatna from Mahulpatna. Three others, including the patient, were critically injured. They have been admitted to Community Health Centre at Junagarh.
Police have seized the vehicles and began an investigation.
