Berhampur: A person was killed and three others sustained critical injuries in a group clash at Sahadeb Tikarpada village under Digapahandi block in Odisha’s Ganjam, on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Tophan Gouda. The injured – Kalu Gouda, Jotchana Gouda and Pratima Gouda – were admitted to Digapahandi community health centre but later shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur, as their condition deteriorated.
Sources attributed the clash to past rivalry between two families. Police have been deployed in the village to prevent any untoward incident and investigation is underway to ascertain the reason behind the clash.
