One Killed, 4 Critical In Knife Attack In Odisha’s Puri

Puri: One person was killed while four were seriously injured in a deadly knife attack over a family dispute near Tatambari Akhada Mutt at Upara Malisahi in Puri district on Wednesday.

The accused has been identified as Nursingha Mohanty aka Poda Sonu, who is on the run. He allegedly stabbed his nephew, Soumya Ranjan Pradhan, to death in the incident. His wife, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and her husband sustained serious injuries. The injured were admitted to the nearby hospital, sources said.

Husband of the accused’s sister-in-law was later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as his condition deteriorated.
