Nabarangpur: One person died and eight others were seriously injured when a Bhubaneswar-bound private bus hit a tipper at Sompeta in Andhra Pradesh late on Sunday.
According to sources, the ill-fated bus, carrying more than 40 passengers, was on its way to Bhubaneswar when the driver lost control of the vehicle and dashed into a tipper near Sompeta, killing the helper on the spot.
Following information, police rushed to the spot and admitted the injured to the district headquarters hospital in Nabarangpur.
