Sonepur: One person died and another sustained injuries when their car collided with a stationary JCB machine near Arjunpur on Sonepur-Balangir road on Wednesday.
According to sources, Subhrashu Joshi of Tileswar village in Boudh district and his driver Bikash were going to Balangir from Boudh in the morning when the driver lost control and hit the JCB machine parked on roadside. Joshi died on the spot.
On being informed, Fire personnel rushed to the spot and rescued injured Bikash from the mangled car. They sent him to a hospital in Sonepur.
Police have sent Joshi’s body for post-mortem and started investigation.
