Balasore: A person died and eight others were injured when the SUV in which they were travelling fell off Nidhipanda bridge in Balasore district on Saturday.
According to reports, the four-wheeler skidded off the road on National Highway-60 and fell off the bridge after the driver lost control over the vehicle.
The deceased and those injured were on their way to witness Durga Puja in Kolkata from Basudevpur in Bhadrak district when the accident occurred.
Those injured, including the driver, were rushed to the district headquarters hospital for treatment.
