One Killed In Attack In Odisha’s Bisingpur, Another Critical

Koraput: Miscreants attacked a man and his son over past rivalry at Ghatual Guda under Bisingpur police station in Koraput district on Tuesday.

Fakir Bisoi was found dead at the spot while his father Dayanidhi Bisoi was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition. He was first rushed to Kumuli hospital and then referred to Borigumma Hospital.

The police have detained four of the accused on the basis of a complaint filed by Fakir’s brother Balaram Bisoi. The assailants, according to Balaram are Dhana Bisoi, Lingeswar Bisoi, Khyamasagar Bisoi, Biswanath Bisoi and Vidyadhar Bisoi, who are alleged to have attacked the father-son duo over a disputed borwell.

Accused Bidyadhar is at large. Police, however, have declined to reveal details of the case as the investigation is under way.

According to Bisingpur police station officer Damodar Bihari, policemen have been deployed in the village as a precautionary measure.
