Kendrapara: A man was killed in a road mishap at Mahipal stand in Kendrapara on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Akhaya Panda (52). He belongs to Gahaga Narasinghpur under Derabish block of the district.
According to sources, the accident took place when he was going to a market on his motorcycle. The two-wheeler collided head-on with a speeding bus at Mahipal stand. Panda sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Kendrapara District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), where he was declared dead.
On being informed, the police reached the DHH and took the body for postmortem.
