Koraput: A person was killed and another sustained grievous injuries after a motorbike they were travelling on collided with an auto rickshaw at Bijapur Square in Koraput district on Monday.
A local shopkeeper, who was present at the spot when the mishap took place, informed the police that the accident occurred when the rider of the bike lost control of his vehicle and came in front of the speeding auto rickshaw.
Police and some locals rushed the injured person to Kotpad hospital in critical condition.
Police seized the auto rickshaw and the bike and sent the body for post-mortem. Probe is on to ascertain the cause of the accident, police said.
