One More Dies Of COVID-19 In Odisha’s Malkangiri, District Case Count Nears 1700

Malkangiri: The COVID-19 tally in Malkangiri district rose to 1,695 on Saturday with an overnight addition of 83 positive cases, including four COVID warriors.

Besides, the district reported one more COVID-19 death on Saturday, taking the toll to four. The deceased was identified as a 53-year-old man, who was also suffering from diabetes.

The district administration informed that all the new cases are local contacts. cases.

The highest of 25 cases was reported from Malkangiri municipality, followed by 13 from Mathili, 11 from Kalimela,  10 from Korukonda, seven from Chitrakonda, six each from Khoriput and Balimela NAC and five from Malkangiri block.

With four deaths and 1064 recoveries, Malkangiri district now has 624 active cases.
