One More MLA From Odisha Tests COVID-19 Positive

Balasore: A BJD MLA from Odisha’s Balasore district has tested positive for COVID-19. He is the third legislator from the state and second from the district to have contracted the virus.

The Remuna MLA, Sudhanshu Shekhar Parida, informed that his swab samples were collected on July 11 and the report has come out positive on Tuesday.

He had been under home quarantine after having come in contact with BJP’s Nilagiri MLA Sukanta Kumar Nayak, who had earlier tested positive for the virus.

Parida will be admitted to a COVID hospital and contact tracing and active surveillance have already begun.
Besides Parida and Nayak, Salepur MLA Prasant Behera has also tested positive for the virus.
