Bhubaneswar: The coronavirus has spread its tentacles to one more district in Odisha.
Sambalpur reported its first COVID-19 on Sunday. The virus has now affected 22 of the 30 districts in the state.
Of the latest 91 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, 12 are from Cuttack, three from Khurda and seven from Puri.
The remaining cases have been detected in Bhadrak (28), Balasore (17), Ganjam (15), Keonjhar (4), Balangir (2), Kendrapada (1), Sambalpur (1) and Sundargarh (1).
With this, the total corona cases in Cuttack has gone up to 22 while Puri is at 25, Khurda (59), Bhadrak (74), Balasore (119), Balangir (4), Keonjhar (8) and Kendrapada and Sundargarh at 27 each.
The last 24 hours also saw two corona deaths. The victims are from Ganjam district, the Health Department sources said.
