Bhubaneswar: The BJD MLA from Basudevpur, Bishnubrata Routray, has tested positive for COVID-19. Routray informed this in a Facebook post.
The legislator, who is the son of senior BJD leader and former minister Bijayshree Routray, requested people who have come in contact with him, to undergo COVID-19 test and stay in home isolation. He also expressed hope that he will get well soon with the blessings of the people.
Earlier, Textiles, Handlooms and Handicrafts Minister Padmini Dian, Higher Education and Agriculture Minister Arun Sahu, Rural Development Minister Susanta Singh, Bhubaneswar (Central) MLA Ananta Narayan Jena, former minister Debi Prasad Mishra, Nilagiri MLA Sukanta Nayak, Khandapada MLA Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Polsara MLA Srikant Sahu, Remuna MLA Sudhansu Sekhar Parida, Salepur MLA Prasant Behera, BJP MP from Bargarh Suresh Pujari, Bhadrak MLA Sanjib Mallick and Bhadrak MP Manjulata Mandal had tested positive for the virus.
