Raipur (Chhattisgarh): As many as five COVID-19 patients were killed after a fire broke out in a medical facility in Chhattisgarh capital Raipur on Saturday, the police said.
A compensation of ₹ 4 lakh was announced by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for the families of those killed in the mishap. The authorities shifted the rest of the patients to other hospitals.
“Five persons have lost their lives in the incident. Other patients have been shifted to other hospitals. Investigation will be done,” police officer Tarkeshwar Patel was quoted as saying by news agency ANI
.According to the officer, an investigation into the incident will be done.
