Bhubaneswar: Authorities on Thursday declared one ward of Choudwar municipality in Cuttack district as a micro-containment zone after 10 people tested positive for COVID-19.
Municipal Executive Officer Pabitra Kumar Behera informed that the containment order in ward no. 12 of Budhalinga village will remain in force for a week till July 7.
He said the movement of people in and out of the micro-containment zone will be restricted in line with COVID-19 guidelines.
Behera said contact tracing of the infected people is underway and surveillance has also been intensified.
