Rourkela: A worker died and two others were critically injured in an explosion at the blast furnace of a private steel plant at IDC Kalunga in Odisha’s Rourkela city late on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Chinmaya Behera (30) of Jajpur. The injured, Parameswar Kishan (48) of Rourkela and Abhishek Kumar (19) of Bihar, have been admitted to a private hospital at Vedvyas, sources said.
A leakage in gas pipe inside the plant is being suspected to have caused the blast.
