Cuttack: The filling up of online forms for the Pathani Samanta Mathematics Scholarship exam in Odisha will begin from Friday, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) notified on Thursday.
The exam will be held for the students of Class VI and IX, the notification added.
The BSE controller of examinations, Dr Nihar Ranjan Mohanty, informed that applicants can fill up the forms online till midnight of November 29.
On the eligibility criteria, he said the Class VI and IX students who have secured at least 50 per cent marks in mathematics in their Class V and VIII annual exams, respectively, can apply. No exam fee will be charged from eligible students, he added.
Mohanty clarified that students of Odia medium schools will be allowed to sit for the examination.
For the Class VI scholarship examination, the students of the upper primary, upgraded middle English (UGME) and upgraded upper primary (UGUP) schools will fill up the forms at the office of the block education officer (BEO). For the Class IX scholarship examination, the students will fill up the forms at the BSE headquarters in Cuttack.
The Board will announce the date of the scholarship examination through an advertisement, Mohanty said.
