Bhubaneswar: Only 147 people turned up at private hospitals across Odisha for the COVID-19 booster shot on Sunday, the first day of the nationwide launch of the programme for all adults aged 18 and above.
“Till Sunday evening, 147 people had taken the booster dose. The figure was low as it was a Sunday,” said state Health & Family Welfare Director Bijay Panigrahi.
Both the Covishield and Covaxin booster doses have been priced at Rs 368, including Rs 150 service charge and tax.
The Centre has allowed all adults, 18 years and above, to take the booster shot at private hospitals from Sunday.
