Bhubaneswar: Only two players from Odisha – Subhranshu Senapati and Abhishek Raut – featured in the list of 590 cricketers, who will go under the hammer at the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced the full list for the two-day mega-auction Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Team Ahmedabad will bid for some of the biggest cricketing names.
Among the 590 players, 370 are Indians and the remaining 270 are overseas players.
The highest reserve price is Rs 2 crore and 48 cricketers fall in that bracket while 20 players carry a reserve price of Rs 1.5 crore and 34 players are on the list of cricketers with a reserve price of Rs 1 crore.
Notably, the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) had earlier said that five cricketers, who played Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021-22, had registered for the auction.
Besides Subhranshu and Abhishek, Bikash Rout, Jayant Behera and Rajesh Mohanty featured in the list shared by OCA on January 22.
