Mumbai: Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s close friend and filmmaker Sandip Singh feels that his ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande was the only person who could’ve saved him if they had not parted ways.
Sandip, Ankita and Sushant shared the same space in Mumbai for a while and had become close friends.
After Sushant’s demise, Sandip took to Instagram to share his fond memories with the late actor and Ankita and stated that Ankita was Sushant’s “girlfriend, wife, mother, best friend forever”, supporting him whenever he needed help.
Sandip wrote, “I know that only you could’ve saved him. I wish you both got married as we dreamt. You could’ve saved him if he just let you be there…”
“Even when you both seperated, you only prayed for his happiness and success… Your love was pure. It was special,” he added.
The producer-cum-friend also revealed that Ankita had retained Sushant’s name on the nameplate of her house.
Sharing a photo with Sushant and Ankita, Sandip posted, “Dear Ankita, with each passing day, one thought keeps haunting me over and over again. Kaash… I wish… We could have tried even harder, we could’ve stopped him, we could’ve begged him!”
Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande met on the sets of Zee TV’s daily soap ‘Pavitra Rishta’. They fell in love and were in a relationship for over six years before calling it off in 2016.
