Odisha Cong Chief Mourns Former MLA’s Demise

Balasore: Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Sarat Pattanayak on Thursday expressed deep grief over the demise of former MLA of Balasore Assembly constituency Gopa Narayan Das.

Pattanayak said in his condolence message that the late MLA was able organiser of Congress and his death is an irreparable loss for the party. Das won the assembly seat in 1985 and he was the last Congressman to have been elected from that seat.

The OPCC chief further said that Das had always worked hard for the improvement of his constituency. He described him as a loving, charitable as well as a very friendly person.

Patnaik also expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family.
