OPCC remembers Rajiv Gandhi on his 75th birth anniversary

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) on Sunday observed the 75th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and Congress leader Rajiv Gandhi by paying floral tributes to his statue at Rajiv Bhawan here.
Making the occasion, a plantation drive organized at a school in Unit-III area. Later, hundreds of party leaders and activists took out a march (Sadbhabana Yatra), which culminated at Congress Bhawan. A mass meeting was then held under the chairmanship of OPCC president Prasad Harichandan.

Speaking on the occasion, Harichandan recalled the incomparable sacrifices made by Rajiv Gandhi, who brought a revolution in the field of science and technology in the country.
The meeting was attended by senior party leaders, including Jaydev Jena, Sarat Patnaik, Rama Chandra Khuntia, Kishore Jena and Sasmita Behera.
