Bhubaneswar: The state Crime Branch with the help of Nayapalli and Capital police rescued seven children, five boys and two girls, on the second day of Operation Muskaan-III on Sunday.
According to sources, three among the six children are from Ganjam district and the rest are native of Bhubaneswar.
The rescued children were produced before the Child Welfare Committee, Bhubaneswar. They are being kept at two open shelters here and counselled, the sources added.
Altogether, 13 children were rescued on the first two days of the operation for tracing missing children.
Six children engaged in a hotel at Khandagiri Square here were rescued on Saturday by a joint team of the State Crime Branch and Commissionerate Police. They were later sent to an open shelter home at Jatni.
