Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Assembly was adjourned on Friday following uproar by the Opposition BJP and Congress members over deposit of the Jagannath Temple funds in the crisis-hit YES Bank.
As soon as the question hour session began, the BJP members led by the leader of the Opposition Pradipta Naik, deputy leader of the Opposition Bishnu Sethi and Opposition whip Mohan Majhi rushed to the well of the House and urged Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro to issue an order for formation of a House committee to probe into the incident and a CBI probe to identify those involved it.
As the Speaker rejected their demand, the BJP members shouted slogans against the government.
The Congress members were soon seen supporting the BJP’s demand.
Unable to run the proceedings, the Speaker adjourned the House till 11.30 am.
