OPTCL DGM arrested by vigilance for accepting Rs 3,000 bribe

Mayurbhanj: Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday arrested Deputy General Manager (DGM) of Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL), Mayurbhanj branch, Yashwant Choudhury while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000 from a local resident.

According to reports, Choudhury had demanded Rs 5,000 from a person to prepare a bill for a rented vehicle at his office. Later, the anti-corruption officials laid a trap and caught him red-handed while accepting Rs 3,000 from the complainant.

Further investigation into the matter is on.
