Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange warning for 10 districts of Odisha till 6 pm on Thursday.
According to the weather agency, thunderstorms accompanied by rain, lightning an
d hail with wind speed 40-50kmph may occur at a few places over Angul, Boudh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Sambalpur and Nayagarh districts in next 3 hours.
The midday bulletin further stated that similar weather conditions may prevail in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places in the districts of Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati. Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty surface wind (30-40 kmph) is also likely in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda and Nayagarh.
