Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange warning for 13 districts of Odisha, including the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, till 6.40 pm on Tuesday.
Thunderstorm with lightning, hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40- 50 kmph and moderate to intense rain is likely at some places in Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Angul, Cuttack, Khurda, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Sonepur, Balangir and Boudh in the next 3 hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
