Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange warning for 5 districts of Odisha till 7.30 pm on Thursday.
Thunderstorm with hail, lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph and moderate to intense spells of rain is likely in some parts of Jajpur, Cuttack, Kendrapada, Jatasinghpur and Nabaranpur during the next 3 hours.
The IMD has warned of minor damage to loose / unsecured structures and standing crops. People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
