Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange warning for 12 districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, till 7 pm on Wednesday.
Moderate to intense rain and thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph is likely in some parts of Nayagarh, Angul, Cuttack, Khurda, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Ganjam, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Rayagada during the next 3 hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
