Bhubaneswar: After a few days of warm weather, Odisha will feel the chill again with night temperatures dipping substantially. According to weather department’s prediction, the condition is expected to continue for some more days.
The north-westerly/northerly dry and cold wind at lower level penetrating over Odisha has brought back the chill in the state, the India Meteorological Department stated in its special bulletin. The condition is likely to prevail till February 5.
The temperature at night is likely to experience a fall by 3-5 degree Celsius till February 5, the bulletin said.
Accordingly, the weather office has issued orange (remain prepared) and yellow (be updated) warnings for several districts. The orange warning has been issued for seven districts, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Bolangir, Kandhamal on Tuesday.
Similarly, districts like Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sonepur, Boudh, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Nayagarh and Khurda have been served with the yellow warning, as per the bulletin.
