Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange warning for eight districts of Odisha till 1.21 pm on Tuesday.
Thundershower with lightning and wind speed reaching 30 kmph or moderate rain may occur at a few places over Angul, Balasore, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Sambalpur districts in the next 2 hours.
The weather agency has warned of heavy to very heavy rain with extreme spells of downpour and thunderstorm activity in Odisha till July 11 under the influence of a low pressure over south west Gangetic West Bengal, which is expected to slowly move west-northwestwards across Jharkhand and north Chhattisgarh during the next 2 days.
