Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Thursday granted conditional bail to Chilika MLA Prashant Jagdev in the case of assaulting the BJP leader and president of Balugaon Mandal Niranjan Sethi.
While granting the bail, which was rejected by the Khurda Additional District Judge Court-1 (ADJ) earlier, the high court has asked the MLA not to influence witnesses in the case.
The ADJ court had remanded Jagdev to the district sub-jail, but allowed his admission to the hospital after considering his cardiac ailments. Later, the police admitted him in the Capital Hospital on the direction of the court on October 8.
