Cuttack: The Orissa High Court has ordered an accused in an attempted kidnap case to plant 100 trees in three months.
Justice Sanjeeb Kumar Panigrahi passed the order while granting conditional bail to the accused, Subhranshu Pradhan.
The judge also directed the investigating officer to submit a report to verify that that the accused has planted the trees within the allotted time.
According to reports, Pradhan, who is a resident of Boudh, had barged into the house of a girl with whom he had a one-sided love affair and tried to kidnap her on January 31. He was arrested after the girl’s family lodged an FIR against him.
Following this, the accused had moved the high Court for bail.
